Life Planning

What does your great life look like?

This is the essential question that Life Planning will help you answer.

This might not sound much like financial planning work. And it isn't exactly.

But here's the thing — if we don't carefully articulate what your great life looks like, there's no way we can create a financial plan that makes much sense.

Life Planning is the process I use to help you define a compelling vision for your future. With that clarity, we can then deploy your financial resources to supporting that life of greatest meaning and purpose.

This sounds overwhelming.

A fulfilling and meaningful probably life sounds great. But defining what the life looks like for you can be daunting!

But don't fret - that's why Life Planning is a structured conversation that takes place over the course of three meetings. Read more about those meetings, below. 👇

What do we talk about?

These are conversations about your life and what makes it worth living - only you know what is relevant. Life Planning conversations often include discussions of career changes, extended time off work, volunteering, traveling or living abroad, romantic relationships, uncertainty around having children, spirituality, health and wellbeing, among others.

It's entirely up to you what to include, and you never have to share more than feels comfortable.

Life Planning Roadmap

There are three meetings in the Life Planning process.

My role is to listen and help you discover the life you are meant to live. I’m always happy to answer any questions, but you’ll be doing most of the talking.

Don’t let this scare you off! My role is to create a non-judgmental space for you to conduct this exploration for yourself.

1.

Exploration Meeting

The intention of the Exploration meeting is to give you the space to fully explain what you hope to accomplish by working with me.

We focus on uncovering, discovering and discussing anything you can think of which is important to consider when developing your Life Plan.

2.

Vision Meeting

In the Vision Meeting, we'll review your responses to four writing exercises. These exercises will help identify the essential elements you desire to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.

We'll use what we learn to craft a compelling near-term vision for your life that gets you excited!

3.

Obstacles Meeting

Here we define the most empowering next steps you can take to make your Vision a reality.

I like to call this the "how we make it happen" meeting.
